Be involved in a nationally-recognized STEM outreach program that brings events like Hot Science – Cool Talks to thousands of teachers, students, and the public each year! Using the skills, you have learned with UTeach, you will assist with the development of lesson plans, educational resources, teacher workshops, and outreach activities in schools, in the community, and at Hot Science - Cool Talks events!

Interns also assist with the evaluation of and/or provide guidance for lesson plans by graduate students through ESI’s Scientist in Residence Program: www.esi.utexas.edu/outreach/scires/

Desired Qualities: 
  • Self-motivated, independent and dedicated individual
  • Willing to work 10-20 hours per week
  • Ability to meet project deadlines
  • Any major welcome, but must have completed UTeach Steps 1 & 2
  • Interest in STEM outreach
  • Interest in gaining professional development
