Description: 

This is an engineering internship focused on assisting and working with our honors dual-credit upperclassmen and other level engineering classes.  Courses range from Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics and Engineering Design and Development using Project Lead the Way curriculum

In addition, the intern would gain exposure to our FIRST and VEX Robotic Teams, Tech Girls, and Girls Who Code.  The Intern will also work with our partners (Austin Energy, NSBE, SHPE and others) and assist with our engineering college tours and company tours.  This is a great opportunity to inspire, nurture and grow the next generation of STEM inventors, entrepreneurs and world changers. 

Interns will (1) have the opportunity to work with dedicated teachers as they promote student learning in engineering, (2) gain insight and experience on the best practices and strategies currently used in education, and (3) support teachers by collecting and organizing data used for instruction, assisting in the set-up and implementation of student lab experiences, and offering feedback to students on learning tasks and formative assessments.

The schedule is flexible and can be negotiated with the intern
