In this position you will get first-hand experience in an engineering classroom focusing on PBI and the utilization of technology in applied engineering. While there are a lot of technicalities involved, you will gain much of the necessary experience required in a Maker Space through the utilization of workshop tools, both manual and powered, as well as technology like laser cutters and 3D printers. You will also get to help develop Maker Projects that can be applied in an engineering class or even in other non-engineering classrooms. You will get the opportunity to lead a lesson if you chose to. You will be working with students in grades 9-12th at different levels of expertise, intro level through advanced robotics. Experience in engineering is not required, but get familiarized with CAD (Computer Aided Design) and the Engineering Design Process.
