Travis High School Science Interns

Printer-friendly version

SCIENCE: An internship at Travis High School is an opportunity to work with dedicated teachers as they promote student learning in science. Interns will gain insight and experience on the workings and strategies used in today’s educational environments. Interns will support teachers by collecting and organizing data used for instruction, assisting in the set-up and implementation of student lab experiences, and offering feedback to students on learning tasks and formative assessments. Interns will be introduced to educational theories and practices such as standards based grading and interactive student note books. Interns will observe many different classroom practices and will be able to more easily make the transition to apprentice teaching as they gain confidence as a teacher in the educational setting
